2 weeks old!

Mayah went to the doctor for her two week check up and she got an A+! She now weighs 8lbs.2oz. which is above her birth weight so the doctor was very happy with her. I knew she would be she loves to eat just like her Daddy! She is in the 50% in weight and 75% in length.

She has really started to change in just the last week...

*smiling as she is going to sleep

*sleeping a little longer

*she is getting the cutest little chubby checks

*she looks around when she hears her Daddy talk

*wiggling her face when her Daddy is giving her kisses (man do those whiskers tickle)

*we love to ride in the car

*unfortunately we are having a some issues with gas

*but that Gripe water is starting to make me feel better!

Mayah's first Valentines Day

We made it home!

We finally got to leave the hospital around lunch time on Wed. It was our first time putting out little one in the car and it took us a while to get everything together and her into her place.

We are so glad to be back in our house with our own bed. I feel so much more comfortable here. I am really starting to feel good, there are still some aches and pains, but so much better than what I was thinking I would be going through after having a baby.

Our first night here at the house was not very much fun.
*had dinner
*got ready for bed
*feed Mayah and got her settled down
*laid down in bed for about an hour and Micah gets up throwing up
*now Mayah is crying
*Mom is worried about Dad while tring to get to Mayah
*Mom goes and gets her mom to come and help (thank goodness she is here!)
*I feed Mayah while my mom is helping Micah
*Micah is sent to stay in the other room so that no one else gets sick
*Mayah is up ready to play because we have our days and nights mixed up!
*Finally morning gets here and my mom and I are so tired that we take turns napping all day!

Micah is starting to feel better now but is still in his own room. I feel really sorry for him the poor guys just wants to hold and kiss his baby girl so bad and he has to be confined to his room. :(

Today Mayah got her first bath and she did not like it very much. She is not to fond of being cold. We let Daddy out of his room to take pictures and he did a very good job. He was running the video camera and the regular camera at the same time. Just not too close!

We are getting ready to make our first outing from the house. Mayah has a doctor's appointment. It is our first time out with the little one and this is what it looks like outside!Right now Mayah and Aunt Dee are taking a nap together!
I just feel so blessed that God has chosen me to be the mother of this beautiful, wonderful, perfect, little girl. I can not wait to see what the future has in store for us. I just don't want her to grow up too fast and in the four days that she has been home you can already see changes.

3 Days!

Last night Micah and I hung out at the house and watched Dexter. We even were tiring to come up with ideas to try to get me to start labor. We tried massages, pressure points, yoga, and we even tried meditating which ended up he and I laughing so hard that I am shocked that did not start the contractions. I did have a hard time catching my breath. It was really nice just to hang out with my honey and not have anything to do!

Well I did not get any sleep last night. I guess my body is getting prepared to go with little sleep. To my surprise I do not feel tired and Micah and I are getting all the laundry done and getting ready to head out to Brayden's gymnastics meet.

I found out this morning from Micah's dad that it is in fact Micah's fault that Mayah is not here yet!

Micah was two weeks late! He could not be early like me. Everyday I found out how she is going to be more and more like her Daddy and she has not even come out of the womb. I think we are going to have a Daddy's girl on our hands and Micah is really loving the idea of that!

The Nursery!

I have finally taken some pictures of Mayah's nursery. We are not completely done yet. We still have to hang the stuff up on the walls, but we are waiting to get it all finished before putting anything up. I think it looks awesome and can't wait for Mayah to see it!

This is the crib bedding that my mom made and the chandelier that Micah loves so much!

My mom also made the cover for the chair and the curtains. There are covers for the arms of the chair, but my mom is finishing those up tonight!

Ok so we already need to clean off the changing table! :)

My mom did such a wonderful job of her nursery and Micah and I could not be any more happy with it. I will post pictures of the completely finsihed product really so!

8 more days!

Well there are only 8 days left until my due date and they seem to be taking FOREVER!! Micah and I can't wait for our little girl to get here. I have started walking where I feel like a duck. Not cool!

Micah, my mom, and I worked really hard this weekend getting the nursery done and ready for Mayah to come home! Mom didn't get much time out of her room (sweat shop). She has been sewing up a storm. While Micah finished getting the chandelier hung. I really can't say that I helped that much. I sat in the rocking chair and talked to Micah and thought I was helping. I think at one point he would have been much happier if I would have gone in the living room and left him alone.

:) it just gets boring not being able to help!

Hopefully later today or tomorrow I can get Micah to post some pictures of the nursery. I have to say my mom is the best designer I know. She is just magically with her sewing machine. It has turned out even better than I was hoping for! I LOVE YOU MOM!!!
